ANSA delegation participates in 20th Annual General Assembly of Standard and Metrology Institute for Islamic countries

KABUL: The National Standard and Metrology Authority, said in a statement today that a delegation from its office participated in the annual general assembly of the Standard and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
According to the statement, the annual general assembly of the Standard and Metrology Institute was held on November 13, 2025, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and was hosted by Uzbekistan.
The delegation included Mawlavi Mohammad Hanif, Head of Standards Development and Promotion, and Faqir Mohammad Stori, Head of Weights and Measures.
The purpose of this meeting, as stated in the statement, was to discuss and exchange views on the development of global cooperation, enhancing technical capacities in standardization, metrology, and conformity assessment.
Representatives from the National Standards and Metrology Authority also engaged in specialized discussions with participating countries, showcasing the country’s achievements and existing capacities in standardization and metrology.
The assembly members decided that the next annual general assembly of the Metrology Institute will be held in Kazan, Russia, in 2026.
