TARINKOT: The Uruzgan provincial officials have confirmed that a mortar shell explosion in the region has resulted in the deaths of at least three family members.
Bilal Uruzgani, police spokesman of Uruzgan told Omid Radio today, that the incident occurred in the “Shirkhani” village in the Charchino district of Uruzgan province.
Based on information from a local source, the victims of this explosion were three brothers aged 18, 15, and 13 years old.
The source mentioned that these three brothers were the sons of an individual named Mohammad Younus, a resident of the “Shir Khan” village.
It is noteworthy that mines and unexploded ordnance often pose hidden threats to the lives of citizens, particularly children and adolescents, across the country.
