Saudi and Pakistani military officials discuss stopping Iran’s attacks

KABUL: Khalid bin Salman, Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia, held talks with Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, in Riyadh.

Bin Salman posted on his X page on Saturday, that the two sides discussed Iran’s attacks on the “Saudi Kingdom” and the necessary measures to stop them within the framework of a joint strategic defense agreement.

He wrote that they emphasized such actions undermine regional security and stability.

Senior military officials from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan expressed hope that the “Iranian side” would act wisely and avoid “miscalculations,” he tweeted.

The discussions come as Iran has carried out retaliatory attacks over the past week on United States bases and targets in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East.
