North Korea fires 10 ballistic missiles during U.S.-South Korea military drills

KABUL: North Korea launched 10 ballistic missiles on Saturday as annual joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea began, according to Reuters on Saturday.
According to a statement, the missiles were fired from an area near Pyongyang toward waters off the country’s eastern coast.
The projectiles reportedly landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
North Korean military and government officials have not yet commented on the launches.
The missile tests coincided with the start of annual joint military drills between U.S. and South Korean forces.
Hundreds of troops from both countries took part in exercises that included amphibious landing operations using tanks and armored vehicles.
