U.S. lawmakers react to Trump’s threat, calling it “cruel and unwell”

KABUL: A number of U.S. senators and political figures have strongly condemned U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent threat and called for his impeachment.
U.S. senators said Trump’s recent threat runs counter to U.S. policy.
Representative Jason Crow said that bombing schools, power plants, and bridges would constitute a war crime.
Representative Ilhan Omar described Trump as a cruel and deranged individual and demanded his impeachment.
Senator Chuck Schumer said Trump is “very sick” and emphasized that none of the Republicans were willing to join them in opposing this brutal, elective war. They added that steps must be taken to prevent actions that target civilian institutions and ordinary people in a country.
