KABUL: Nicholas Pelham, an analyst with The Economist, says Iran possesses a strategic tool that could be even more effective than nuclear weapons, control over the Strait of Hormuz.
He noted that the strait serves as a powerful defensive lever for Iran and could play a decisive role in countering external pressure.
Pelham’s remarks come as peace talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad ended without a breakthrough, with both delegations returning to their countries.
