KABUL: At least 14 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 650 others wounded during Israel’s military operations in Lebanon and ongoing clashes with Hezbollah, according to international media reports.
Al Jazeera reported late Saturday, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), that the casualties occurred amid the escalation between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah.
No further details were provided on the circumstances of the casualties. However, Hezbollah and affiliated media have previously claimed the destruction of Israeli tanks during the conflict.
Reports indicate that the injuries among Israeli troops vary in severity.
Although a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been announced, reports from Beirut suggest that clashes between the two sides are still ongoing.
