KABUL: Yasmin Praez Desimaz, Director General of Operations at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has met with Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi for discussions.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on the country’s humanitarian needs, challenges resulting from the increasing number of returning migrants, the provision of health services, and ongoing needs stemming from the years of conflict.
The two sides also emphasized the importance of continuing and expanding the ICRC’s humanitarian assistance and cooperation across various sectors in Afghanistan.
