KABUL: An Afghan delegation led by Sayed Karim Hashemi, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, has attended Turkmenistan’s Third International Investment Forum in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
The delegation participated in the forum at the official invitation of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Economy, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said.
Official delegations from various countries, representatives of economic and commercial institutions, as well as traders and investors, attended the forum, according to the chamber.
Participants discussed investment opportunities, economic capacities and ways to expand trade and economic cooperation, the chamber said.
It added that Afghanistan’s participation in the forum provided an opportunity to showcase the country’s economic potential, attract investment, explore new markets and expand trade relations with Turkmenistan and other countries in the region.
