MAZAR-E-SHARIF: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Amir-ul-Momineen Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Hebatullah Akhundzada, during a series of trips to the country’s northern provinces visited Balkh province, the province’s governor press office said in a statement.
According to the statement, the Leader of the Islamic Emirate met with scholars, court officials, civil and military authorities, commanders of the 209th Al-Fath Army Corps, members of jihadist schools, and the Council of Scholars.
Speaking in a gathering, the esteemed Amir-ul-Momineen stated that as a result of the sacrifices, dedication, and heroism of the mujahidin, an Islamic and Sharia-based system has been established, according to the statement.
“Avoid divisions, ethnicism, and linguistic discrimination and should work towards maintaining the current system,” he said.
Referring to the efforts of scholars over the past 20 years, he noted that they have both enforced Sharia in society and engaged with the world politically.
The aim behind establishing the current system was to eliminate fitna (sedition), immorality, and un-Islamic practices and to ensure the rights of the people, he said, highlighting that the Islamic Emirate has been successful in these endeavors thus far.
