KABUL: As the war between the United States and Israel against Iran continues, Iranian state media have reported growing speculation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have been killed or injured.
The English section of the Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported on Tuesday that speculation has been increasing among Hebrew-language sources about Netanyahu’s possible death or injury.
According to the report, the speculation intensified after no new images or videos of Netanyahu were posted on his personal channels for the past three to four days. Previously, one to three video messages from the Israeli leader were reportedly published daily.
Tasnim stated that the absence of any video during this period has fueled rumors regarding his possible death or injury, while statements attributed to him have still appeared during the same time.
The report also cited increased security measures around Netanyahu’s residence over the past three days and the cancellation of a planned visit to Israel by Steve Witkoff, a special envoy, and Jared Kushner, a senior adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, as factors contributing to the speculation.
However, the claims remain unverified, and there has been no independent confirmation regarding whether Netanyahu has been killed or injured.
