Trump postponed potential strikes on Iran’s energy facilities by five days

KABUL: Donald Trump, president of the United States, said he has ordered a five-day postponement on any potential strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure.
According to CNN, Trump said the decision followed what he described as “constructive talks” between Washington and Tehran over the past 24 hours.
However, Iran’s foreign ministry denied that any talks had taken place between the two sides.
Iranian state media, cited by CNN, described Trump’s remarks as an attempt to ease energy prices and buy time for possible military planning.
The development comes after Trump had issued a 48-hour deadline warning that Iran’s energy facilities could be targeted if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened.
