KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, says the Islamic Emirate has activated dozens of factories in several provinces, alongside expanding cement production, to meet the country’s growing construction needs.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the second major cement factory in Jabal al-Siraj District of Parwan Province on Wednesday, Hanafi said the establishment of such factories would meet investors’ needs while also helping reduce unemployment.
According to officials, the second Jabal al-Siraj cement factory will have the capacity to produce 5,000 tons of cement every 24 hours.
