Afghanistan and Pakistan delegations agree on reopening Torkham gate

KABUL: The officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Nangarhar province, have announced that the delegations of Afghanistan and Pakistan have reached an agreement regarding the reopening of the Torkham border gate.
This agreement was made during a meeting today [Monday, March 17) between the Afghan and Pakistani delegations.
According to the agreement, the Torkham gate is set to reopen for all types of traffic from tomorrow, Tuesday.
Both sides have also agreed to hold a coordination meeting to discuss the details of the reopening process.
The delegations from Afghanistan and Pakistan met today once again with the aim of facilitating the reopening of Torkham.
It is noteworthy that the Torkham gate has been closed for movement for the past 24 days.
